My First Teacher

Being bed ridden through my high school years was, of course, lonely.  My muscles being too weak to continue my dance training was devastating. . .

But being too weak to play with friends or being paralyzed so I couldn’t attend school also meant that I didn’t get indoctrinated.  I learned to think my own thoughts. . . a very rare talent these days.  Being unable to dance meant that my spirit learned to soar even when my body was lying on the bed unable to move.  When I couldn’t go to the prom or the party, I learned to participate in life through my heart. . . through the Love that flows through me.  These lessons have served me so well in my adult life.
